
Margertree Holmes
Margertree has a dynamic background in Education and Business Administration, offering over a decade of experience in the areas of education and local government procurement. She possesses a Masters of Business Administration, a Lifetime Texas Teaching Certificate and a Real Estate Broker license in the state of Texas.
Margertree worked for over five years in the Dallas Independent School District before moving into the non-profit world. She is the founder of Margaret’s TreeHouse, a 501(c)3, non-profit incorporation organized exclusively for charitable and educational purposes. At Margaret's Treehouse, we encourage, educate and equip youth to discover and live out their life's purpose. Utilizing out-of-school time, we offer a variety of innovative programming for youth to discover and explore their individual interest while providing parents a safe and secure place where youths’ lives are positively changed; directly impacting our communities.
Margertree accepted Christ as her personal Savior and was baptized at age 6; however, in obedience to God’s leading she was baptized again at age 42 with a better understanding and renewed commitment to following Christ. She is a founding member of Northeast Bible Church. The last 3 years, she has occupied the role of Women’s Ministry Director after serving on the Women’s Leadership Committee for two years. She has a heart for women understanding that they play two very important roles: #1 Nurturer and #2 Educator. Her favorite Bible verses are found in Romans chapter 12 verses 1 and 2:
“Therefore, I urge you, brothers and sisters, in view of God’s mercy,
to offer your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God—
this is your true and proper worship. Do not conform to the pattern of
this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you
will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing
and perfect will.”
